CALABASAS HILLS, Calif., Jul 26, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) — In commemoration of National Cheesecake Day and its spirit of sharing, The Cheesecake Factory invites guests who dine-in on July 30 to enjoy a slice of any of its more than 30 varieties of legendary cheesecake for half price. The restaurant will also introduce its new Reese’s(R) Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake, which will support Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger relief organization.
July 30 is the first official day that the new Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake will be available; however, American Idol winner Lee DeWyze and his fellow Season 9 Finalists will have the honor of being the first to enjoy the new cheesecake on July 29, the day before National Cheesecake Day. The American Idols will make an appearance at The Cheesecake Factory in Virginia Beach, Va. prior to that evening’s American Idol Live Tour performance at the Virginia Beach Amphitheatre.
The new cheesecake features chunks of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups baked in Original Cheesecake with layers of delicious Fudge Cake and Caramel.

“For more than 30 years we’ve created America’s favorite cheesecakes based on my Mother’s original recipe, and we’re thrilled to introduce our newest flavor with the help of some of America’s favorite musicians, the American Idols,” said David Overton, Founder of The Cheesecake Factory. “We believe that the combination of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, the number one candy in America, and our Original Cheesecake, has created an unforgettable dessert. We’re so proud to have our newest cheesecake benefit our ongoing commitment to Feeding America.”
With the introduction of the Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake, The Cheesecake Factory is continuing its partnership with Feeding America. The Cheesecake Factory will donate the equivalent of 3.5 million meals through proceeds from each slice sold. Feeding America is the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization, which helps to feed more than 37 million hungry Americans each year. The Cheesecake Factory has donated more than $1.2 million to Feeding America over the past two years, and will continue to support this important cause with several activities planned during Hunger Action Month through September.
