ELIGIBILITY
The Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii and its territories and possessions) twenty-one years of age and older as of March 28, 2011, excluding employees and immediate family members of HarperCollins, and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, assigns, advertising, promotional and fulfillment agents, attorneys, and other representatives and the persons with whom each of the above are domiciled. Offer void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
Each entrant in the Sweepstakes must be the rightful holder of the email account submitted at entry. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the holder of the email account, the holder will be deemed to be the person who owns the email address according to the records of the email service provider. The email account must be opened prior to the commencement of the Sweepstakes.
ENTRY PERIOD
The Sweepstakes will commence on March 28, 2012 at 6:00 a.m. (ET). The last entry will be accepted April 23, 2012 at 11:00 p.m. (ET).
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
One (1) potential Grand Prize Winner and forty-nine First Prize Winners will be selected by a random drawing from among the eligible entries.. Potential winners will be notified by email and required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release (the “Affidavit”). The guest of the potential Grand Prize Winner will also be required to sign a release of liability (the “Guest Release”). If a potential winner does not return the Affidavit and Guest Release, if applicable, within three (3) days of delivery the prize will be deemed forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be chosen. If the Grand Prize Winner is not available to travel May 21-23, 2012, an alternate Grand Prize Winner will be selected. Grand Prize Winner will provide Fly.com with all necessary travel information by April 30th in order for Fly.com to purchase the airfare. If all necessary travel information is not received by this date, the Grand Prize Winner forfeits the airfare portion of the prize.
PRIZES
The Grand Prize Winner will receive:
i. Round-trip economy airfare for two from the major airport nearest the winner’s residence to Los Angeles, California, departing on May 21, 2012 and returning May 23, 2012. Approximate retail value: $2,000.However, if the winner resides within 200 miles of Los Angeles, California, HarperCollins will only provide round trip ground transportation from the winner’s home to the hotel. Approx. retail value: $500. The difference in value between the airfare and ground transportation will not be awarded;
ii. Double-occupancy economy hotel accommodations for two nights. Approximate retail value: $600
iii. Two tickets to the Grand Finale of American Idol on May 22, 2012. Approximate retail value: $100
iv. All other transportation (including to and from the airport and American Idol), accommodations, meals, gratuities and other related expenses are the winner’s sole responsibility.

The Grand Prize Winner’s guest must be at least 21 years of age, unless the Grand Prize Winner is the parent or guardian of the guest.
