We are just going to say outright, Jessica Sanchez delivers another stirring performance that had the judges nodding their approval with a standing ovation (Jessica’s third standing o in the semi-finals) while Elise Testone shines and steals the night!
If it’s up to us and the critics, a GIRL should win this year! They are consistently better than the guys each week. But the teeny boppers (who votes!) always lean towards a white boy with the guitar, or in Colton’s case the piano??!
This week’s results night is perhaps the most cutting, no pun intended!
The one eliminated tonight (when they announce the magic 10) not only goes home for good but are left to kickstart her/his career on her own without having the opportunity to sing in stadiums and arenas in front of thousands of screaming fans!
No Summer Live Tour, No going across country to sing before a live audience. No extra cash on the side. Sad but that is how the show works.

With Jermaine Jones’ disqualification over concealing a criminal past, American Idol is down to eleven contestants singing songs from their birth year…

Sources connected with the show tell us … the contestant — one of the final 12 — was charged with 2 crimes in 2011, one involving violence. We’re told in both cases the contestant gave a fake name to cops when arrested.
In addition, we’re told the contestant has outstanding warrants — again, the singer concealed it from producers.

Jones reportedly tweeted that he is off the show: “Awww I will no longer b on the show.”
