We can see why they ‘saved the best for last’ as American Idol concludes its auditions round in St. Louis, MO- a lot of talents showed up here. Nonetheless, we don’t see a winner in the bunch. So there wouldn’t be another Carrie Underwood in the making… Carrie, season 4 winner, auditioned in St. Louis back in 2005!

One can only make a first impression once; if you got it, you got it.
These eventual winners were all wide-eyed, dreamy, confident yet nervous, enthusiastic than most, self-assured and fearless. See the sparks and hunger in their eyes. Before they were famous, they were American Idol hopefuls first. Take a look back at the winners’ circle in their auditions.

This segment of American Idol features the audition in Rose city Portland, Oregon. Once again, we wonder about the 45 people who ‘got through’ and they only showed 10 people –about half couldn’t really sing!

The fifth round of audition brings us to the lonestar state of Texas where the first idol, the great Kelly Clarkson was discovered! It was interesting they didn’t say how many went thru- we gather not many!
They gave two tone deaf guys their time of day and showed a bunch of clips featuring off key and downright bad auditions. Still, we can name at least two people who are Top 24- even Top 12 material- Baylie Brown and Skylar Laine!

American Idol Season 11 auditions has definitely become tamer. The absence of the crazies with their bizarre and outrageous costumes is again missed felt on the Denver, Colorado audition. Even when they film the crowd, there are no silly Superman or Chicken costumed people around… Some are not liking the change but we’d rather have this than see them step back to their old corny ways.
Only 31 people made it to Hollywood on this audition.
